Over recent years we have hosted various courses where people are invited to explore the Christian faith. One such course is Christianity Explored – a video-based course which is for anyone who wants to think about the meaning of life and is an introduction to the good news found in Jesus Christ (www.christianityexplored.com). Our courses have been informal and relaxed with refreshments – run by ordinary Christian people and are completely free. You don’t need to know anything about the Bible, and you won’t be asked to pray or sing. Any questions can be raised or you can just listen.
During LENT 2026 we are using the official Church of England Lent booklets entitled 'Draw Near'.
This resource invites us to develop a rhythm of life that will help us grow as disciples of Christ, especially as we prepare to celebrate God’s saving love at Easter.
Each week explores an activity central to Christian discipleship: worship, prayer, Scripture, communion, service to others and sharing the good news.
For each day of Lent it offers daily Bible readings, images, short reflections, prayers and practical responses. Our Homegroup will be studying this resource in the coming weeks. Details can be found on our Meditation and Homegroup webpage.
If you would like to find out more about the Christian faith please contact the parish office on 01959 571515 and leave a message or email admin@pcd.org.uk for more information.
We look forward to hearing from you.
