Homegroups and Meditation Group

CHRISTIAN MEDITATION, ST MARY's, DOWNE.  Thank you to all those who joined us in meditation in their own homes during recent times.  Now we are back in church our next meeting is on 7th October 2021 in St Mary's and we will observe any Covid-19 rules such as wearing a mask, social distancing and not chatting until we are outside in the churchyard afterwards.  Meditation begins at 10am on the first and third Thursday of each month for about 45 minutes, and we follow the method taught by John Main, an English Benedictine monk.  'The all-important aim in Christian meditation is to allow God's mysterious and silent presence within us to become more and more not only a reality, but the reality in our lives; to let it become the reality which gives meaning and shape and purpose to everything we do; to everything we are'  John Main.  For more information visit the website: https://www.christianmeditation.org.uk/

You are more than welcome to join us.  If you would like to find out more please email Hilary via office@pcd.org.uk or telephone the parish office 01959 571515 and we will respond to your enquiry.

Times and dates are viewable on the calendar.
