Homegroups and Meditation Group

CHRISTIAN MEDITATION, ST MARY's, DOWNE.  Thank you to all those who joined us in meditation during recent times in our own homes.  On the 6th May we will return to St Mary's observing any Covid-19 rules such as wearing a mask, social distancing and not chatting until we are outside in the churchyard afterwards.  Meditation begins at 10am on the first and third Thursday of each month for about 45 minutes, and we follow the method taught by John Main, an English Benedictine monk.  'The all-important aim in Christian meditation is to allow God's mysterious and silent presence within us to become more and more not only a reality, but the reality in our lives; to let it become the reality which gives meaning and shape and purpose to everything we do; to everything we are'  John Main.  For more information visit the website: https://www.christianmeditation.org.uk/

BIBLE STUDY in our own homes -

Thank you to all those who have joined in with our homegroups via zoom during 2020 and we have continued to hold our homegroups in this way in 2021.

After our Lent Course we plan to restart our 8pm Homegroup sessions by zoom on Wednesday 28th April 2021. You don’t need a computer set up with zoom – you can listen in by dialling from your mobile or from your landline. If you would like to know more, including the zoom details please contact Rev John Musson: phone 01959 540012 or email: vicar@pcd.org.uk.

HOMEGROUPS at CUDHAM AND DOWNE - in 2020 our homegroups met at various times until March after which we met by zoom due to the Covid-19 situation.  You are more than welcome to join us in 2021 (zoom contact details above.)  Once we are able to meet in our homes again the meetings are relaxed and informal and refreshments are served.  These groups are a great time to share in fellowship and find out more about faith.     For more information please contact the parish office on 01959 571515 or email office@pcd.org.uk
