Homegroups and Meditation Group

CHRISTIAN MEDITATION, ST MARY's, DOWNE. Thank you to all those who join us in meditation and our next meetings take place in June on the 2nd and 4th weeks, i.e. Thursdays 9th and 23rd June 2022 in St Mary's Church.  We observe any Covid-19 measures - by encouraging the wearing of masks, keeping social distancing where possible and not chatting until we're outside in the churchyard afterwards.  Meditation begins at 10am on the first and third Thursday of each month for about 45 minutes, and we follow the method taught by John Main, an English Benedictine monk.  'The all-important aim in Christian meditation is to allow God's mysterious and silent presence within us to become more and more not only a reality, but the reality in our lives; to let it become the reality which gives meaning and shape and purpose to everything we do; to everything we are' John Main. For more information visit the website: https://www.christianmeditation.org.uk/

You are more than welcome to join us.  If you would like to find out more please email Hilary via office@pcd.org.uk or telephone the parish office 01959 571515 and we will respond to your enquiry.

Times and dates are viewable on the calendar.

WEDNESDAY EVENING HOMEGROUP - during 2021 and the early part of 2022 our Homegroup continued to meet on Wednesday evenings by zoom due to the Covid-19 situation.  Homegroup began meeting in person (and by zoom) again some weeks ago and the next meeting is planned for Wednesday 8th June 2022.  You know you don’t need a computer set up with zoom – you can listen in by dialling from your mobile or from your landline. If you would like to know more, including the zoom details please contact Rev John Musson: phone 01959 540012 or email: vicar@pcd.org.uk. You are more than welcome to join us.

HOMEGROUPS at CUDHAM AND DOWNE - The meetings are relaxed and informal in a home setting, with refreshments and are a great way to share in fellowship and find out more about faith.  For more information please contact the parish office on 01959 571515 or email office@pcd.org.uk
