CHRISTIAN MEDITATION, ST MARY's, DOWNE.
Meditation from March 2026 is taking place monthly, on the second Thursday in the month. Our next meeting is on 12 March, beginning at 10am in St Mary's Church, for about 45 minutes. We follow the method taught by John Main, an English Benedictine monk. 'The all-important aim in Christian meditation is to allow God's mysterious and silent presence within us to become more and more not only a reality, but the reality in our lives; to let it become the reality which gives meaning and shape and purpose to everything we do; to everything we are' John Main. WEEKLY HOME GROUP AT CUDHAM
We will be meeting again on Wednesday 4 March 2026 from 2pm to 3.30pm,
when we will be looking at the official Church of England Lent booklets 'Draw Near'.
This resource invites us to develop a rhythm of life that will help us grow as disciples of Christ, especially as we prepare to celebrate God’s saving love at Easter.
Each week explores an activity central to Christian discipleship: worship, prayer, Scripture, communion, service to others and sharing the good news.
For each day of Lent it offers daily Bible readings, images, short reflections, prayers and practical responses.
