Knit and Natter Group

THE KNIT and NATTER GROUP -  meet fortnightly in Cudham on a Monday evening from 8pm until 10pm and you are more than welcome to join our friendly group.  We knit or crochet, but any other wool crafts welcome.

In February 2018 Becci Johnson from Making Miracles, a Kent & Medway charity, came along to our group and spoke about their work, and during April 2018 a coffee morning was held in Cudham to raise funds during the charity's awareness month. Making Miracles is a charity which provides services such as trauma and bereavement counselling after a high-risk pregnancy, miscarriage, premature birth or baby loss.  As they need knitted, crocheted and quilted items for babies and children up to 2yrs of age to sell at their community and local hospital stalls, the Knit and Natter Group have been supporting this charity by knitting all sorts of small garments for the premature babies. The charity also welcome other sources of funds to support the counsellors who work with families for trauma and bereavement support.  Making Miracles are also holding their 2nd Big Knit at Rochester Cathedral, on Saturday 13th October, 10am 'til 1pm and are encouraging people to make 6" blanket squares.

The Knit and Natter Group are now meeting after their summer break and are looking at new projects, including knitting poppies for Remembrance Day and for Cudham's Christmas Tree Festival 2018.

If you would like more information about the Knit and Natter Group and would like to be involved please contact Beryl via the parish office on 01959 571515 or email office@pcd.org.uk.

New members always welcome.
